Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie specializing in South Indian cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of South Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and dishes, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Food Preparation:

Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, including dosa, idli, sambar, and curries, ensuring authenticity and quality. Maintain high standards of food presentation and flavor.

Station Management:

Manage a specific kitchen station focused on South Indian dishes, ensuring efficient and timely service during peak hours. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on South Indian cooking techniques and practices.

Quality Control:

Monitor the quality and consistency of dishes, making adjustments as necessary to meet restaurant standards. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop and update the South Indian menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Inventory Management:

Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing food waste. Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.

Qualifications:



Culinary degree or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 3 year in a Chef de Partie role focused on South Indian cuisine. Strong knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
