Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in your section, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking techniques.
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients specific to your cuisine and place orders as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of your section and adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development within your area of expertise.
• Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen team members to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Contribute to maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new techniques relevant to Chinese, Indian, and Continental cuisines.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a reputable restaurant or hotel, specializing in Chinese, Indian, or Continental cuisine.
• In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors specific to your specialty.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Certification from a culinary school or relevant apprenticeship is a plus.
• Understanding of food cost control and portion management.
