We are looking for a Chef de Partie for Narra our Innovative tapas bar on Havelock island in the Andamans. The venue hosts an open kitchen and bar, so great interpersonal and social skills are essential.
Previous CPD experience is preferred, but we might also consider a very strong DCDP.
The ideal candidate will be a culinary/hospitality university graduate with 2-3 years of experience. Along with western kitchen experience, those with Latin or Asian experience will be considered as a plus.
Creative flair is of the essence.
Primary responsibilities
You will learn a lot in this position and have the opportunity to grow with your career, if targets are met and your skills are up to the standards then there will be the opportunity to be sous chef and have key role in execution of all sections.
Assist sous chef with kitchen operations in line with all policies and standards.
Maintain purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
Maintain a position of authority with junior teammates, guiding and helping them with execution of all food, from preparation to plating to management of fresh produce.
Good organizational skills
Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Ability to work efficiently and in a team
