Key Responsibilities:



Meal Preparation and Cooking:

Prepare and cook meals for hospital staff according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure that meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards. Portion meals correctly and ensure that food is fresh and appetizing. Special dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free) must be observed and accommodated as needed.

Menu Planning and Coordination:

Assist in planning and creating staff meal menus in collaboration with the Food Service Manager or Executive Chef. Ensure menus offer a variety of healthy, balanced meal options.

Food Safety and Hygiene:

Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, including proper food storage, handling, and preparation methods. Ensure that the kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Follow proper sanitation and health guidelines to prevent contamination.

Inventory and Stock Management:

Assist in monitoring food inventory levels and notify the manager when supplies need to be replenished. Ensure that ingredients and supplies are stored correctly and safely.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with the Food Service Manager to report any issues, such as shortages or maintenance needs.
