We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie specializing in Indian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of quality, and contributing to menu development.
• Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in taste and presentation
• Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as sauces, appetizers, or main courses
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and recipe development
• Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices are followed in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain cost-effectiveness
• Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements and specials
• Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
• Adapt cooking techniques and recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences when required
Qualifications
• Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in preparing Indian cuisine, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Extensive knowledge of various Indian regional cuisines, spices, and ingredients
• Proficiency in Indian cuisine preparation techniques and excellent knife skills
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with a current Food Safety Certification
• Experience in menu planning and recipe development
• Expertise in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for Indian culinary traditions and techniques
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
