Job Description

Acquiring industry knowledge of telecom, digital, IT and ancillary business; reviewing and analysing commercial transactions. Review of IT, digital telecom contracts from tax, commercial and compliance perspective. Identifying cost optimization opportunities in existing and proposed contracts / transactions by devising and employing fruitful strategies. Ensuring compliance with Indian direct/indirect tax provisions in all transactions for all Indian and Overseas entities and monitoring implementation. Remain updated with latest developments in Direct/Indirect Tax, FEMA, TRAI including carrying out related researches and ascertaining industry position. Conceptualization and implementing management related directions on process improvements, policies, controls, etc. Ensuring query resolution for queries sent by procurement group, buyers, and taxation teams. Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the Company Enter into negotiations / discussions with Vendors to secure most advantageous terms Perform financial risk management regarding contracts / agreements Compile and circulate management reports for the areas of work handled. Ensure circulation of implications of the amendments in tax laws relevant to the company. Qualification and Work Experience Qualification : Chartered Accountant(C.A.) CA with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in direct and indirect taxation compliance. Updated with knowledge of legal developments in the fields of direct/indirect tax. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Strong PC skills i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook Ability to exercise good judgment, good team player, show initiative and be proactive Extremely details oriented Proven ability to effectively prioritize work High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information. Ability to consult, negotiate, creative problem-solving, resolve issues and reach agreements with different stakeholders, as required Self-Motivated, highly reliable and dependable with passion and dedication to clear goals Organized and able to manage multiple and shifting priorities
