Whether building original equipment or maintaining products in the aftermarket, we enable companies in every industry to be more efficient, productive, and profitable.POSITION SUMMARY:The Main objective of this job is to grow sales, develop new customers and continue good relationship with our existing Aftermarket customers in North and East India. He/ She work with cross functional teams and divisional management, and associates from other Gates divisions around the world including all levels of personnel, from customers to suppliers.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget;
scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and territory wise, distributor wise sales plan.
Inputs and recommendations for strategic plan and policies
  • Reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and
customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining
regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counselling field sales representatives; building and
maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and
service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  • Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications;
maintaining personal networks.
  • Outstanding receivables; Motivating regional / area executives
  • Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Specialization in auto components marketing in the aftermarket; like distributors, retailers, fleet owners,Mechanics, STUs etc.
  • Creativity and innovative skills, out of box thinking to generate big ideas
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent operates as people Manager with reporting to Director -Automotive and support in all day-to-day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • BE / BTech with Masters will be preferable.
  • Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in Sales, especially in Aftermarket sales
  • Strong presentation skills and high level of knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to travel.
REQUIRED SKILLS: * Has detailed knowledge of Automotive market.
  • Must be able to drive projects forward. Must be able to plan and organize tasks in line with departmental objectives and deadlines.
  • Must have good communicative skills with sense for detail and structure.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills with sense for detail and structure.
  • Must be able to plan and organize tasks in line with departmental objectives and deadlines.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skills
  • Strong team player, proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.
  • Self-directed and motivated with insight and ideas to motivate sales teams
  • Strong Communication skills including Presentation & Negotiation skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Fair amount (approx. 40 - 50%) of domestic travel is required.
