Company Overview: We are a diversified portfolio of US-based companies operating primarily in healthcare and real estate. Our real estate portfolio includes investments, property management, and both long-term and short-term residential rentals. As we expand our services to include bookkeeping and tax preparation, we are seeking a highly qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead this new division.
: We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who will prepare and oversee the tax returns for all our portfolio companies and their owners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US tax regulations, financial forecasting, budgeting, and deal analysis. They will possess excellent leadership skills and be capable of building and managing a team of accountants and tax preparers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of tax returns for all portfolio companies and their owners, ensuring compliance with US tax laws and regulations.
• Provide expert tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities for the portfolio.
• Develop, implement, and maintain efficient tax strategies and policies.
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and deal analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Build and lead a team of accountants and tax preparers, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to the management team.
• Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Assist in the establishment and growth of the bookkeeping and tax preparation business within the portfolio.
Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in the United States.
• Proven experience in US tax preparation and advisory services.
• Strong knowledge of US tax laws and regulations.
• Real estate experience a strong plus.
• Health care experience a strong plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and deal analysis.
• Experience in building and managing a team of accounting professionals.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Quickbooks and ProConnect and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Residents of Brazil, India, Pakistan, or Nepal who have taken and passed the US CPA exam are highly encouraged to apply.
