• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook South Indian dishes
• Ingredient Preparation: Ensure all ingredients are prepared and portioned correctly before cooking, including grinding spices, soaking rice and lentils, and preparing fresh vegetables.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, ensuring dishes are prepared and served according to hotel standards and guest preferences.
• Adherence to Recipes: Follow standardized recipes and methods while also being creative in adapting dishes to meet guest dietary requirements or preferences.
• Kitchen Operations: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including storage areas, equipment, and workstations.
• Stock Management: Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, ensuring adequate stock for daily operations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and stewards, to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
• Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards in food preparation and handling to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Training and Development: Continuously learn and improve culinary skills through training sessions and on-the-job experience, under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Guest Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests to understand their preferences, handle special requests, and ensure satisfaction with the food and dining experience.
