Key Responsibilities
1.
Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation
Execute dishes as per standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
Assist in menu execution, supporting the Sous Chef in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Monitor portion sizes and plating to meet quality standards.
Ensure kitchen workflow efficiency during service hours.
2.
Inventory & Procurement Management
Coordinate with the Purchasing and Stores team for proper stock receiving, storage, and inventory management.
Conduct quality checks on received goods, including weighing, expiration verification, and rejecting substandard items.
Track ingredient usage, minimize waste, and optimize stock levels.
3.
Quality Control & Hygiene Compliance
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety within the kitchen.
Guide the team in maintaining kitchen hygiene, including equipment cleaning, personal hygiene, and uniform standards.
Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, prepared dishes, and overall kitchen operations.

Team Leadership & Training
Lead and support junior chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
Provide hands-on training in food preparation, plating, and kitchen efficiency.
Assist in staff scheduling and task delegation to ensure smooth operations.
5.
Equipment & Maintenance Oversight
Monitor kitchen equipment, report malfunctions, and coordinate maintenance requirements.
Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
6.
Contribution to Innovation & Growth
Suggest ideas for new dishes, menu enhancements, and kitchen improvements.
Participate in food trials, research & development, and special event planning.
