Position Summary :
As a Chef de Partie at Oberai Bakers and Cafe, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality food that aligns with our brand's standards. Your expertise in cooking techniques, menu execution, and kitchen management will contribute directly to the daily operations of the cafe. You will collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistency, cleanliness, and creativity in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities :

• Food Preparation & Cooking :
• Oversee and manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., bakery, hot kitchen, dessert section, etc.).
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the cafe's standards, ensuring consistency in quality and taste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Menu Execution & Innovation :
• Assist the Head Chef in developing new recipes, menus, and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure the proper preparation and presentation of baked goods, pastries, savory dishes, and beverages as per the menu specifications.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Team Collaboration & Leadership :
• Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff, including Commis chefs, kitchen assistants, and other team members.
• Train and motivate team members to maintain high standards of cooking, hygiene, and customer service.
• Supervise kitchen operations during service, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of dishes.
• Inventory and Stock Management :
• Monitor stock levels in your assigned section, ensuring ingredients are available for daily production needs.
• Assist in managing inventory, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients to prevent wastage and spoilage.
• Quality Control & Standards Compliance :
• Ensure the consistency and quality of food items across all services, maintaining high culinary standards.
• Enforce food safety and cleanliness procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Customer Satisfaction :
• Ensure all customer orders are prepared and presented promptly, meeting customer expectations in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Participate in receiving feedback from customers or the front-of-house team to continuously improve food offerings and service.
• Collaboration with Other Departments :
• Work closely with the Front-of-House team to ensure seamless communication between kitchen and service staff.
• Collaborate with other chefs to plan and implement special menus, promotions, and seasonal offerings.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• Experience :
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably in a bakery, cafe, or fine dining environment.
• Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation, particularly in baked goods, pastries, or cafe-style menus.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Creativity and a passion for culinary innovation.
• Education :
• Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Additional training in bakery and pastry arts is a plus.
• Attributes :
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for food quality and presentation.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during busy service hours.
• Team player with leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and manage junior staff.
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and improve continuously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
