Job Summary
The Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing and cooking dishes within their assigned section. They ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation while maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organizational standards in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation and Cooking
• Prepare and cook dishes according to the menu and specifications.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of dishes.
• Manage mise en place for their section and ensure readiness for service.
2. Team Coordination
• Work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff or commis chefs in the section.
3. Kitchen Operations
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the assigned section, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Monitor food stock levels and communicate any requirements to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
• Minimize food wastage through proper stock rotation and storage practices.
4. Quality Control
• Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Take feedback from management and guests constructively to improve service.
5. Health and Safety
• Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment in the section is used safely and maintained in good condition.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Working Hours
• Shift-based, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: ?8,126.15 - ?38,169.03 per month
