Company: Startech Computer SolutionDepartment: CCTV technicianReports To: Sartaj SaifiSummary:The CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV camera systems and their associated components. They will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of these systems, providing technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install new CCTV systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Mount cameras, recorders, and other equipment securely and discreetly.
- Configure and test network connections for IP-based systems.
- Terminate and test coaxial and fiber optic cables.
- Maintenance:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on CCTV systems, including cleaning cameras, checking connections, and updating firmware.
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment as needed.
- Upgrade and modify existing systems as required.
- Monitoring:
- Monitor CCTV systems for any signs of security breaches or suspicious activity.
- Review recorded footage and generate reports as needed.
- Assist security personnel in investigations.
- Technical Skills:
- Possess a strong understanding of CCTV technology, including analog and IP systems.
- Be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
- Have a working knowledge of network protocols and cabling standards.
- Be able to use CCTV software and configuration tools.
- Other Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a CCTV technician or related field.
- Freshers are also welcome
- Proven knowledge of CCTV systems, including analog and IP technology.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cabling standards.
- Familiarity with CCTV software and configuration tools.
