Summary:
The Chief Business Officer will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, investment strategy, and operational excellence for The Medical Centre. They will be responsible for identifying and executing investment opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and overseeing business development initiatives.
Key Result Areas:
1. As part of the Strategy Team, collaborate with the CEO to develop business strategies and implement business plans, ensuring alignment of the team providing necessary leadership and guidance
2. Foster strategic partnerships, develop and maintain strong relations with brokers, real estate developers, Infrastructure project companies and other reliable sources to generate leads
3. Establish corporate relationships with key decision-makers across various healthcare organizations, International Property Consultants (IPCs) and consultants.
4. Conduct extensive research to identify market trends, opportunities and gather all relevant data regarding the region and target institutions to aid informed acquisition decision-making
5. Identify assets for acquisition and alliances in growth-oriented markets through all possible sources
6. Scout for potential greenfield projects in the healthcare sector, particularly in growth corridors across promising markets. Work with the management team on opportunities to expand the real estate portfolio to new locations
7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of potential deals, ensuring all opportunities are tracked, nurtured, and advanced through the business development cycle
8. Formulate leasing strategy and develop comprehensive leasing plans for healthcare real estate based on market intelligence/enquiries and drive the front-end leasing process for the Medical Centres (both warm-shell and fitted-out)
9. Initiate negotiations with potential partners, ensuring favourable terms that align with the strategic goals
10. Carry out substantive business development activities to acquire new leads, build customised proposals and pitches towards securing leasing deals
11. Make creative presentations to prospective partners with compelling expansion and growth strategies
12. Conduct location studies to identify potential development opportunities. Feasibility studies for product expansion, pricing, rental estimation studies and market trend analysis
13. Travel and network extensively, host meetings and presentations to explore new growth possibilities, build relations and generate strong acquisition proposals
14. Drive online/offline/on-site marketing activities for leasing in close association with the marketing team
15. Prepare periodic deal sourcing and leasing reports, ensure timely goal setting, monitoring, performance review and feedback to the stake holders
16. Oversee and run the end-to-end client onboarding process. Ensure due diligence for finalization & execution of lease agreements and completion of lease documentation for closures and renewals/expansion with respect to the client's space requirements
17. Building and leading the team responsible for deal sourcing and leasing for the target territory and project
Specifications:
Education:
• MBA in Finance or related area from a top-tier institution.
Experience:
• 8+ years in private equity, real estate, or infrastructure development, healthcare industry.
• Proven track record in business development, deal generation, leasing, and leadership.
Skillset:
• Strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management.
Desired Profile:
• Experience in managing investments or business development in healthcare real estate/private equity/infrastructure development
• Extensive network in private equity, real estate and healthcare sectors
