JOB DESCRIPTION Role: Work as Sr. Credit Risk Associate - Perform Quantitative and Qualitative Credit Analysis of Real Estate Borrowers / Facilities in Commercial Term Lending Team as part of larger Commercial Real Estate Team in India.

Location: Bangalore


• Manage a team of Credit Risk Analysts &/or Associates: lead inclusively with purpose and integrity, and with strong focus on continuous professional development and talent management. Motivate/mentor team members, provide feedback and train them on credit risk analysis, internal systems and processes; and supervise/ review their work


• Develop strong understanding of the Credit Risk Ecosystem - Tools & Applications, Policies, procedures, guidelines required to perform the Credit Analysis of the Real Estate Loans and Borrowers; and be abreast with the changes therein.


• Build expertise in the North American Commercial Real Estate sector and regularly track sector developments on an on-going basis.


• Be able to Independently Perform Credit Analysis (Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis) of the Recommend credit risk ratings / grades based on the analysis for the clients and facilities/exposures within the stipulated timelines. Be ready for expanded scope of work by learning & performing additional assignments.


• Develop and maintain open communication channels with Credit Analysts / Associates and Executives on the domestic and stateside. Independently handle calls/queries/rating discussions with Underwriters and Credit Executives


• Mentor and train junior analysts in the team on fundamentals of credit risk analysis, internal systems & processes; and supervise/ review their work


• Contribute towards other core / non-core assignments, various firm-wide projects focused on improving efficiencies, risk technology, enhancing risk reporting, QC requirements, regulatory compliance, etc.
• Identify and drive strategic initiatives for the team's progression and growth. Take lead on projects focused on enhancing processes, improving efficiencies, risk technology, enhancing risk reporting, regulatory compliance, etc.


• Ensure high quality of work product (Spread Approvals, Loan / Client Reviews etc.).



Qualifications: MBA / PGDBA (with Finance specialization) / CA

• 6-9 years of experience in credit risk; experience in real estate sector is preferred
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and financial statements, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting principles
• Attitude and aptitude to learn and enhance knowledge of credit risk analysis; and passion for real estate sector
• Deadline orientation; strong attention to detail and high accuracy
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop tools (MS Word, Excel and Power Point) and ability to learn new tools, techniques and applications
• Ability to work proactively & independently, as well as in a team environment
• Strong & Effective communication skills - both verbal & written; and good interpersonal skills to be able to effectively present analysis and build strong relationships with stakeholders at various hierarchies
