Feed sales representatives sell livestock feed to dealers, farmers and production facilities. They are in charge of finding new clients, maintaining margins, and meeting sales targets to increase feed volume and company profit. Feed sales representatives market the company's product offerings in effective ways, understanding the product facts to share easily with customers. They should be knowledgeable regarding the feed industry to keep an eye on competitor products and changing needs. They should educate clients on the benefits of choosing their feed and why it compares better against the competition. Feed sales representatives need to maintain detailed business transaction records to further understand who is buying their products, possibly leading to insights that improve customer retention. If they see opportunities or threats in the market, they should advise management to ensure this can be addressed accordingly.Feed Sales Representative Duties
