JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Staff Management:
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities.
• Train new employees and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Schedule shifts and manage staff rotas.
2. Food Preparation and Quality Control:
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards and follows recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor food quality and presentation consistently.
3. Inventory and Stock Management:
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure stock levels are adequate.
• Conduct regular stock checks and minimize waste.
4. Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure the kitchen meets all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
• Ensure Daily cleaning schedules are maintained.
• Ensure weekly/ monthly deep cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules are maintained.
5. Guest Management:
• Handle guest preferences and resolve any issues related to food quality or service.
6. Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain kitchen records, including inventory, payroll, and staff performance.
• Report on kitchen operations and performance to household members
7. Purchasing and Vendor Management:
• Ensuring timely replenishment of stock.
• Online buying of goods from approved sellers
• Offline buying - as needed, from approved sellers
• Petty Cash Management
8. Inventory Management
• Make data entry in inventory software (Inward, Outward, Stock Take, Transfers, etc).
• Track and manage inventory levels accurately using software.
9. Household Event Management
• Ensure procurement is done in advance as per the menu decided for events planned at household.
• Ensure the venue is arranged with all cooking equipment and utensils.
