You will be working as Category Specialist at and will be part of Motion business area for Large Motors & Generators division based in Vododara, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement Manager and you will be primarily responsible for supporting regional or global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional or global category manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Your responsibilities Supporting the development and implementation of regional or global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional or global category leader Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, periodically renews pricelists, terms, conditions and running benchmark studies for the category team for specific sourcing initiatives Supporting regional or global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies On-boarding new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer, running regular supplier evaluations, providing supplier reports to Businesses and Category Managers Running regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold, initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements Fostering communication internally, externally between different divisions, business units, functions and supporting the implementation of PL activities and initiating in the Regional or Country through this clear communication Your background B.Tech or B.E in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2 to 6 years of experience in handling commodities like accessories and indirect material Knowledge on email ettiquetes Good communication skills More about us The Large Motors and Generators Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators.
