The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and assisting in the preparation and serving of food and beverages in the caf\xc3\xa9. This role requires a high level of customer interaction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities:Cashier Duties:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide product information.
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Transaction Handling:
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Balance the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Store Maintenance:
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Ensure product displays near the register are neat and appealing.
- Food & Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies.
- Assist in the preparation of light meals and snacks, following health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure food and beverage items are presented attractively and are of high quality.
- Customer Interaction:
- Take customer orders at the caf\xc3\xa9 counter.
- Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
- Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor with all customers.
- Caf\xc3\xa9 Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf\xc3\xa9 area.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or food service is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
