Job Summary: The Cashier/ Accounts Executive will manage the financial transactions of the Hyundai car dealership, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves handling daily accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and supporting the Finance Manager in budgeting and auditing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Transactions:
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier's ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
• Reconciliation:
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a daily basis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports as required by management.
• Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management.
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with Hyundai dealership financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
• Assist in audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
• Data Management:
• Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents.
• Safeguard sensitive financial information and ensure data accuracy.
• Support Functions:
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.
• Provide support in developing financial strategies and long-term planning.
• Support the Accounts Manager in any additional tasks or projects as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
