Duties and Responsibilities

• Scanning items or entering product codes into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensuring accurate pricing, applying discounts or promotions as needed.
• Accepting payments via cash, credit/debit cards or mobile payments.
• Giving change and issuing receipts to customers.
• Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, professional service.
• Assisting customers with questions about prices, store policies, or product availability.
• Resolving customer complaints or directing them to appropriate staff when necessary.
• Ensuring the cash register has adequate change and supplies for smooth operations.
• Balancing the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
• Reporting discrepancies in cash totals or register issues to management.
• Helping to restock shelves or organize merchandise when necessary.
• Notifying supervisors of low stock levels or out of stock items.
• Assisting in inventory counts or product organization when needed.
• Monitoring for signs of theft or suspicious activity.
• Adhering to store policies related to security and handling returns or exchanges.
• Processing returns or exchanges according to store policies.
• Inspecting returned items for damages or discrepancies.
• Offering promotional items or services to customers.
• Encouraging customers to sign up for loyalty programs or special offers.
• Following the store's rules on pricing, refunds, and customer service.
• Complying with safety regulations and maintaining a safe checkout environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?16,000.00 per month
