Job Summary: As a cashier in our hospitality establishment, you will be responsible for processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will ensure a positive guest experience through friendly interaction and prompt service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and direct them to their desired products or services.
• Provide information on prices, discounts, and special promotions.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.

Transaction Processing:

• Operate electronic cash registers and POS systems to process payments.
• Ensure accurate pricing of all items through scanning or manual entry.
• Calculate total payments received during transactions and reconcile with total sales.

Cash Handling:

• Receive payments in cash, credit, or debit cards and issue receipts.
• Ensure proper handling of cash and secure payments according to company policies.
• Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure amounts are correct and report any discrepancies.

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain accurate records of transactions and daily financial activities.
• Prepare daily reconciliation reports and submit them to the accounting department.
• Assist in inventory management by recording stock levels and notifying management of low inventory.

Team Collaboration:

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of customer service and transactions.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cashier in a hospitality environment or similar role.
• Proficient in using electronic cash registers and POS systems.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month
