Customer Service

: Greeting customers, answering questions, and providing assistance as needed.

Processing Transactions

: Handling cash, credit/debit card payments, and processing refunds or exchanges.

Operating the Cash Register

: Ensuring the cash register is set up, operating properly, and handling transactions accurately.

Handling Money

: Counting and giving back the correct change, ensuring no discrepancies between the register and actual funds.

Maintaining a Clean Work Area

: Keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (like bags, receipt paper).

Product Knowledge

: Providing information about store promotions, products, and services to customers.

Bagging Items

: Efficiently and safely packing customer purchases, often with a focus on customer satisfaction and convenience.

Balancing the Cash Drawer

: At the end of the shift, ensuring that the drawer is balanced and reconciling any discrepancies.
