Job Description
Position Summary: The Cash Application Specialist will work within the accounting team to maintain the administrative accuracy of payments, invoices, and customer accounts. This role will reside with the accounting team in India, but it will support the accounting teams in the US and the UK.Essential Job Functions:
- Investigate payments to determine the appropriate customer account / invoice to apply the payment to
- Initiates direct debits to customer accounts
- Initiates credit card payments as needed
- Posts adjustments to respective customer accounts
- Applies payments initiated through lockbox, ACH, and wire to respective customer accounts
- Works with and assists Account Receivable Specialist(s) regarding payment discrepancies
- Reconciles Excel master tracking to ERP system and bank receipt
- Manage regular communication via chat, emails, or calls with Parent company teams in the US & UK
- Proficient level of knowledge in Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong attention to detail and able to consistently and timely produce quality, accurate work
- Ability to work independently, and to work in a collaborative, team environment
- Experience in a larger business/corporate environment
- Graduate with B.com preferred
