Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structural elements as specified. You will work in various environments to create sturdy, functional infrastructure and high-quality products.

An ideal Carpenter is skilled with hand tools, possesses excellent manual dexterity, and has a keen eye for detail. You should have a solid understanding of wood properties and other construction materials, work well independently, and prioritize health and safety protocols.

Our goal is for you to support the construction and upkeep of durable, long-lasting structures and products.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to fully understand project requirements.
• Measure and calculate materials needed for each project.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) to precise measurements.
• Construct frames, doors, staircases, and entire building structures using raw or pre-made components.
• Install flooring, roofing, and drywall, ensuring all installations are level and compatible.
• Craft and install furniture, cabinets, shelves, and similar fixtures in designated areas.
• Inspect structures for repairs or maintenance needs, performing necessary fixes.
• Build scaffolding and other temporary construction structures.

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven carpentry experience.
• Skilled in working with a variety of carpentry materials.
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and installation methods.
• Proficiency with electrical and manual tools (e.g., power saws, hammers, measuring tools).
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings accurately.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and best practices.
• Basic English proficiency and math skills.
• Physically fit and able to endure long hours on the job.
• High school diploma; completion of a certified carpentry apprenticeship program required.
