Job Description

We are looking for a Caretaker who will oversee the maintenance, repair, and smooth functioning of civil structures, utilities, and MEP systems within construction sites or completed projects. The role involves regular inspections, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring all infrastructure remains in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Oversight:
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of buildings, construction facilities, and MEP systems.
• Address minor repairs and liaise with technicians for complex issues.
• MEP Systems Management:
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for proper functioning.
• Ensure HVAC systems, generators, water supply, and drainage systems operate efficiently.
• Site Upkeep:
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of construction sites or completed buildings.
• Supervise waste disposal and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Equipment and Supplies:
• Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and consumables required for site operations.
• Coordinate procurement and stock control for essential materials.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Identify and address hazards related to civil structures and MEP systems.
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordination and Reporting:
• Work closely with site managers, contractors, and vendors to address maintenance needs.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Emergency Response:
• Act promptly to resolve any issues affecting infrastructure, utilities, or safety.
• Coordinate with emergency services for critical situations as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certification or diploma in MEP or building maintenance is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in civil construction, with hands-on knowledge of MEP systems.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment for minor repairs.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.

Skills Required:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of civil structures and MEP design.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work on large construction sites or projects involving MEP installations.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable MEP systems.
• Experience in supervising technical staff or contractors.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
