Objectives of the Position
To act as Operational Caretaker (CT) & Operational Vendor Manager (OVM) to manage Logistics Service Provider's (LSP) related oprations & BUs expectations to manage outsourced oprations handled out of KL HUB
Main Tasks
Caretaker:
• Point of contact for OD for escalation management (non-operational). Operational escalations are expected to be managed by HUB
• GB representative for LE for external, customer audit (IATF, ISO:9000, ISO:14000, KPMG etc.)
• Handle LE level regulation fulfillment i.e. disposal permit, pollution control board, digital signature renewal, registration with ministry of telecom, GST address application of new warehouse or site location, liasioning with BASF corporate office with support of KL HUB as deemed necessary by LE
• Need based but not regular - support to operations on both TM & DNM functions handled by KL HUB on escalations arising due to public holidays, long weekends or outside working hours instances
OVM:
• Performance Mamagement of Transport & Warehouse Service Providers (LSP & WSP) based on Service Scope
• License to Operate (LTO) monitoring - fresh & renewals of statutory & local licenses of WSPs
• Escalations on Service issues - HUB will take up with LP & resolution to be driven by LP with support of LE (OVM)
• Renewal of Digital Signature of BIL (one in two years)
• Periodic visits to Warehouses & plants with an agenda of covering open points (if any) from past visits OR P2, P3 points closure incl. assets checks
Minimum Education and qualification required for the Position
Education: Engineering Degree or above from reputed institute. Degree in Logistics, supply chain or related discipline would be preferred.
Working Experience: 6 - 8 years' experience in Transportation & Warehousing related work areas, work experience in chemical industry would be preferred
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
• Knowledge of overall Transportation & Warehousing processes
• Knowledge of SAP processes in TM & DNM operations
• Numeracy skills, able to interpret data
• Ability to deal with cross functional work streams
• Knowledge of service provider management for both TM & DNM functions
• Proficient in English & Hindi, written & verbal communication.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Power point
