• Meluha International School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Career Counsellor with a deep understanding of CBSE and IB curricula. The ideal candidate will guide students in making informed academic and career decisions, aligning their strengths and interests with potential future paths.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counselling to students to assist with career planning and decision-making.
• Develop and conduct workshops, seminars, and presentations on career exploration, college admission processes, and course selection strategies.
• Assist students in identifying their academic strengths, interests, and career aspirations, while guiding them through the application process for universities, both in India and abroad.
• Stay up to date with changes and trends in education, career opportunities, and admissions processes in CBSE, IB, and other relevant curricula.
• Maintain relationships with universities and higher education institutions to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
• Support students in the preparation of application materials, including resumes, cover letters, personal statements, and essays.
• Help students explore scholarship opportunities and financial aid resources.
• Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support in their academic journey.
• Organize career fairs, guest lectures, and workshops with industry professionals and alumni.
• Maintain records of student interactions, career assessments, and counselling sessions.
• Stay updated on international education systems, visa procedures, and admission requirements for countries like the USA, UK, Canada, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
• A bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, counselling, education, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Career Counsellor in an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of CBSE and IB curriculum frameworks, with additional curriculum knowledge preferred (IGCSE, etc.).
• Proven experience in guiding students through the college admissions process for both Indian and international institutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and faculty.
• Proficiency in using career assessment tools and resources.
