It has more than 600 employees spread across global locations in the UK, US, China, India, Singapore, Brazil, Belgium, Finland and beyond.As a Power BI Developer (Expert), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and UX/UI designers, to transform complex data sets into actionable insights. Your expertise in Power BI will be critical in ensuring that the digital analytics application is both robust and user-friendly, meeting the needs of our global audience.Principal AccountabilitiesDesign and develop advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI.Implement data models and DAX queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.Utilize advanced Power BI features, including DAX, calculated columns, and measures, to create sophisticated visualizations.Collaborate with data engineers to integrate various data sources into Power BI including Snowflake and APIsEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the Power BI environment.Optimize report performance and scalability to handle large datasets efficientlyProvide training and support to end-users to maximize the utility of Power BI reports and dashboards.Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices to continuously improve the application.QualificationsWe recruit talented, dynamic people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, all united by a belief in our mission to provide the worldxe2x80x99s leading and most trusted price reporting, events, and intelligence service for the markets we serve. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Power BI Developer, with a proven track record of designing and deploying complex Power BI solutions.Experience in embedding Power BI dashboards in applications efficientlyExpertise in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query in building complex custom visuals like MACCsStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.Proficient in SQL and experience with various databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake).Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and dashboards.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.Knowledge of Python or R programming languages is a plus.If you're excited about the role but your experience, skills or qualifications don't perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway.Additional InformationOur ValuesFastmarkets people come from all different walks of life.
