Job Purpose (1-2 Lines)Responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement operations of CAPEX with on-time delivery within the budget.Key Responsibilities: (Maximum 5-8 Points) * Lead Buyer of CAPEX (Equipment, Spares, Maintenance contracts, CAPEX and OPEX) across projects in collaboration with User, Engineering team and Suppliers
  • Responsible for RFx to contract closure, on-time delivery of procurement within Budget and deliver savings as per expectations
  • Planning purchase of Process Equipment\'s & machineries with Spares based on approved Capital Investment plans & budgets
  • Responsible for Procurement operations from Converting Purchase requisition, receipt of materials and payment closure with Suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Drive on-time delivery, supplier performance and Cost reduction targets from Procurement.
  • Supplier Leadership: own the commercial relationship for key suppliers, serve as the point of contact for problem escalation, conduct Business Reviews, and drive sustainable development among the supply base.
  • Leverage cross functional expertise to implement cost models, qualify suppliers, drive part number rationalization, and consolidate the supply base
Educational Qualification: * B. Tech/ BE/ B.Pharma
  • MBA is an advantage
  • Good understanding of technical aspects of Laboratory Instruments & Equipment, Manufacturing Equipment and Supplies
  • Deep understanding of supply market and price dynamics of Machines/ Equipment in Pharma industry
  • Strategic capability to assess the suppliers on their capabilities including cost, innovation and execution capabilities
Experience: * At least 7 years of experience in buying Process & Laboratory equipment in Pharma industry
  • Experience in material management in EOU/ SEZ with taxes, duties and other financial implications
Behavioral Skills: * Good communication skills
  • Negotiation skills to manage Suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Team building and development
