Job Description


Overview: The Transformation Program Office is responsible for the governance of Citi’s Transformation Program and the related, centralized processes and procedures required to effectively manage the oversight and execution of the Transformation Action Plan. The Transformation Governance & Process Senior Lead is a strategic professional who contributes to directional strategy and will be the local Article/MRA/Gap and Milestone closure team manager. This manager will be a subject matter expert for providing direction to the larger transformation program as it relates to centralized closure processes and procedures applicable to all teams involved in this program, both within and outside of the CAO. The Lead will need to effectively partner with stakeholders across the CAO and business functions to drive compliance with closure processes, continually improve the guidance and drive towards efficient and sustainable best practices. This role may also be involved in the creation of reporting directly shared with the Regulators. The work performed by the Lead impacts the effectiveness of the Transformation Program Office, which impacts the overall execution of the Transformation Program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and monitoring of team performing closure summary reviews for the Transformation Program
  • Perform quality reviews of stakeholder delivered documentation to ensure standards of the review are being maintained by the team performing the reviews
  • Drives adherence to closure processes, procedures, methods, and standards
  • Supports stakeholders as governance and/or closure process subject-matter-expert
  • Liaises with program group to ensure clarity regarding documentation requirements
  • Updates procedures and supplemental documentation when required
  • Manages and maintains recordkeeping documentation to ensure an audit ready environment
  • Prepares metrics, progress, and status reports
  • Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work
  • Escalates program risks to TPO and / or CAO Management, when appropriate
  • Provide oversight and control of Issue and CAP (corrective action plan) creation and oversight of reconciliation including processing of approved changes as required
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
  • 14+ years with hands-on execution experience on program management and a good exposure to program governance activities
  • Should demonstrate a commitment to quality, strong attention to detail and follow up
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence others; diplomacy skills to negotiate and persuade at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability and/or aptitude to independently develop, draft and propose solutions to complex requests and/or issues
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at senior levels and to facilitate discussions at medium levels.
  • Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), especially in data entry/extract/reporting
  • Excellent organizational, project/program management skills and ability to coordinate with proven experience driving large, dynamic programs with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and drive parts of the program/project
  • Sound awareness of business policies, processes, structure, and applications across the bank.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Citi organization a plus
  • Experience with Citi iCAPs system a plus
  • Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment
Education:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
  • CAPM / PMP certification preferred
