Qualification: Any Degree with 2-3 years of experience in an educational institution

Canteen Manager (Male/Female)

The roles and responsibilities of a residential canteen manager typically include a range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and management of the canteen facilities. Here are some key responsibilities:

1. Menu Planning and Development:

- Designing menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of students.

- Ensuring variety and nutritional balance in meal offerings.

2. Food Procurement and Inventory Management:

- Ordering food supplies and ingredients while maintaining inventory levels.

- Monitoring stock rotation and minimizing waste.

3. Food Preparation and Quality Control:

- Overseeing food preparation to ensure meals are prepared safely, hygienically, and according to specified recipes.

- Conducting quality control checks to maintain food standards.

4. Budget Management:

- Developing and managing budgets for food costs and other operational expenses.

- Implementing cost-saving measures without compromising on food quality.

5. Staff Management and Training:

- Hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff and other personnel.

- Scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet demand.

6. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring the canteen meets sanitation standards.

- Conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.

7. Service:

- Addressing student concerns and feedback regarding food quality and service.

- Maintaining a positive dining experience for students and staff.

8. Menu Pricing and Financial Reporting:

- Setting menu prices that reflect food costs and market trends.

- Generating financial reports and analysing financial performance.

9. Environmental Sustainability:

- Implementing practices to reduce food waste and promote sustainability.

- Opting for environmentally friendly packaging and sourcing practices where possible.

10. Continuous Improvement:

- Seeking feedback from students and staff to improve services.

- Keeping updated with food trends and industry developments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekend availability
