Roles and Responsibilities
- Program Development : Design and develop urban eye care camps, including setting objectives, defining target populations, and outlining necessary services.
- Scheduling : Plan camp dates, times, and locations to maximize accessibility and impact.
- Resource Management : Coordinate with hospital departments to ensure availability of medical staff, equipment, and supplies.
- Venue Setup : Arrange logistics for camp locations, including space setup, equipment placement, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Scheduling : Develop work schedules and ensure adequate coverage during camp operations.
- Support : Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers, addressing any issues that arise.
Community Outreach : Promote the camp through community engagement, including working with local organizations, schools, and media.
- Assistance : Ensure that patients receive appropriate care, including triaging and guiding them through the camp's services.
- Data Management : Collect and manage data related to patient outcomes, camp attendance, and other relevant metrics.
- Regulations : Ensure that all camp activities comply with hospital policies, medical regulations, and legal requirements.
- Quality Control : Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided at the camp and implement improvements as needed.
- Internal Communication : Facilitate clear communication between the camp team and hospital staff.
- External Communication : Act as a liaison between the hospital, community organizations, and patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Training : Ensure that staff and volunteers are trained to handle medical and non-medical emergencies.
- Feedback Collection : Gather feedback from patients, staff, and volunteers to assess the effectiveness of the camp.
- Continuous Improvement : Use feedback and data to make recommendations for improving future camps and addressing any challenges.
