About the company: CoWorkIndia provides shared office space for startups and small companies who are looking for professionally managed office space. Currently we have office space for more than 300 people across multiple facilities in HSR Layout. CoWorkIndia is in expansion phase and we expect to open four centers across Bangalore in the next one year. Location: #5, 14th Main, 15th Cross, Sector 4, HSR Layout, Bangalore. 560 102. Landmark: HSR Layout BDA complex. Designation: Asst Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Manager depending upon experience Reports to: Center Head Experience & Education : Should have at least one year of experience in supervisory role at an established F&B outlet. Compensation : Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 25,000 Perks: Meals are provided in the company cafeteria, arrangement for stay can be done in a nearby PG. Language : Hindi. Ability to speak and read English would be a plus Requirement: Kitchen Manager at CoWorkIndia oversees the daily operations of the office kitchens and cafeterias. This role ensures that nutritious, well-balanced meals are prepared and served to customers and staff in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for menu planning, food inventory, staff supervision, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Menu Planning and Food Preparation:
  • Develop and implement nutritious and appealing menus that comply with state regulations.
  • Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Staff Management:
  • Train, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service workers.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Inventory and Budget Management:
  • Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Manage the kitchen budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of food purchases, usage, and waste.
Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure the kitchen and cafeteria comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Implement and oversee food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of food.
Customer Service:
  • Address any concerns or complaints from customers and staff regarding food service.
  • Foster a positive dining experience for customers and staff.
Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of meal counts, staff hours, and other administrative tasks.
  • Prepare reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Hindi is a must and a modest understanding of English is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary education or training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in food service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary guidelines, and menu planning.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and understanding of food safety practices.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual skills for handling kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Should have a two wheeler license and own two wheeler to move around to our offices (within HSR Layout)
Working Conditions:-
  • The position involves working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and cooking odors.
  • The role may require early morning or occasional evening hours depending on the office\xe2\x80\x99s schedule and events.
