We are looking for a Cafe Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy cafe. This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of leadership, operational expertise, and customer service focus. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the cafe\'s operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, food safety, and customer service.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive work environment for staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Order and maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, staying within budget.
- Track sales and expenses, and prepare reports to monitor cafe performance.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cafe sales and profitability.
- Stay up-to-date on coffee and food trends, and identify opportunities to innovate the cafe\'s menu and offerings.
- Collaborate with the cafe owner/operator on setting goals and objectives.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cafe management or a similar food service role.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with inventory management and cost control.
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Passion for coffee and the cafe industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
