You will use your creativity to design new and modify existing products, parts, or processes while applying established standards, guidelines and specifications. By collaborating with others on the engineering teams, you will engage in the design, review and optimization process to ensure the quality of the engineering drawings and models, working together to deliver against overall project timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of PFD and P&ID for various process technologies.Should have fair understanding of process control, cause & effect drawings, Material Selection Diagram etc.
Should be able to support as PDC for all major process P&ID review meetings. Should have knowledge of blue beam sessions for quick turn around time.
Fungible resource who can work in mechanical 2D drafting area (Plot Plan, Vessel and Reactor drawings).
Take responsibility of the design (2D Drawings) and ensure self-checks are properly done.
As a part of a multi-functional project team, the designer is required to produce engineering deliverables that are consistently correct, timely complete, and compliant with UOP processes & procedures.
Actively work with Sr. Designer/manager to identify skill gap in Drafting area and help them to develop training plan.
Understand the procedures/ standards to acquired new skills in P&ID design and drafting.
Regularly update scheduling manager if there is any change in the schedule dates. Explain them the reason for delay and mitigation plan to ensure project is back on track.Supporting and following corporate HS&E policies, in relation to Office & Field Safety practices and engineering design policies.Additional Position Accountabilities include:
Identify needs and opportunities for Work Process and Productivity improvements (in area of expertise) and provides necessary oversight through implementation.
Sets technical standards, policies, and procedures in area of expertise.
Support other UOP product line work related to drafting (i.e. reactor mechanical drafting, Plot Plan, vessel drafting etc.)
Minimum Required Competencies:
A good & demonstrated knowledge of fundamental principles of 2D drafting.
Expertise in developing P&IDs and PFDs.
Candidate shall have knowledge and competency to work in MicroStation, AutoCAD and excel spreadsheet.
Candidates should have awareness about various mechanical drafting for Vessel, Reactor and Plot Plans.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be used at the international level with colleagues worldwide.
Additional knowledge of 3D software like inventor, CADWOrx etc. will be added advantage.WE VALUEBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Diploma in mechanical Engineering or ITI with 10+ Years of relevant experience.
Able to communicate effectively in English.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly motivated, Independent and Team player
Fabrication experience and business acumen are an advantage.Additional Information
