Our R&D center in Pune is crucial to our growth and innovation strategy, and our distribution subsidiaries in the APAC region are key to our market expansion.Job Purpose:The CAD Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for computer-aided design (CAD) systems. With 3 to 5 years of experience, the successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, CAD technologies, and user interface design. This role requires a blend of programming expertise, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of CAD workflows to enhance our software solutions and meet the needs of our users.Location: Pune, India:Key Responsibilities:Software Development:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for CAD applications, including features, plugins, and extensions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using programming languages such as C++, Python, or C#.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate CAD functionalities into existing systems and applications.

Application Enhancement:

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications and software designs.
• Enhance and optimize CAD software performance, stability, and usability based on user feedback and testing results.
• Develop and maintain documentation for software features, APIs, and user guides.

User Interface and Experience:

• Design and implement intuitive user interfaces for CAD applications to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure that software features are user-friendly and meet design standards.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine and improve application usability.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure successful software development and deployment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users and address software-related issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in CAD technology and software development.
• Propose and implement new features or improvements based on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks to enhance software development efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as a software developer, with a focus on CAD applications or related technologies.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or C#.
• Experience with CAD APIs and SDKs (e.g., OpenCascade, Autodesk Forge, or similar).
• Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development tools.
• Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
