Job Title: Senior CAD Engineer

Job Location: Bengaluru, India

: As part of the Engineering Enablement organization, this senior-level CAD engineer develops and maintains process design kits (PDKs) for internal and external process technologies in support of Analog, RF, Mixed-Signal, and Digital design flows using Cadence, Mentor, Keysight and internally developed CAD software. As an individual contributor, you will be expected to possess necessary programming skills and circuit design knowledge to allow you to develop, QA, support, and enhance the EDA tools and the associated PDKs used by product development teams, with special emphasis on DRC, LVS and Layout parasitic extraction flows.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Provide technical CAD support for ADI design community
  • Work closely with the design teams to understand their requirements and colloborate with device modeling, process development and foundry groups to enable the efficient use of CAD tools and methodologies
  • Develop device level layout generators (PCELLs)
  • Develop physical verification (DRC/LVS) rules and parasitic extraction flows
  • Develop and improve automated QA procedures to improve the efficiency and integrity of the design kits
  • Work closely with the EDA software vendors to resolve tool bugs and drive new feature additions
Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Electronics engineering or other relevant technical discipline such as Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Proven track record of developing and supporting PDKs
  • Experience in Calibre DRC/LVS deck development is required
  • Proficiency in Cadence SKILL, PERL, Python, Shell-scripting preferred
  • Exposure to deep-submicron manufacturing technologies is a plus
  • Familiarity with revision control systems, issue tracking, and collaboration tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English proficiency
  • Self-motivated and team oriented
