POSITION: CAD Draftsman (PROCESS)


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Qualification:


• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools.


Experience:


• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in CAD drafting roles, preferably in process engineering.


Software Proficiency:


• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.


Responsibilities:


• Create and update process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD.


• Assist in the development and modification of process and equipment datasheets, line lists, and other relevant documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.


• Collaborate with process engineers to ensure accurate representation of process designs and specifications in CAD drawings.


• Prepare detailed drawings and layouts of process equipment and piping systems, ensuring compliance with applicable Codes & Standards.


• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate design inputs and ensure consistency of project deliverables.


• Participate in document and drawing checking and review processes to ensure quality and accuracy.


• Support the Lead Engineer in drafting-related tasks, including work planning, progress monitoring, and adherence to project schedules.


• Assist in maintaining an organized and up-to-date CAD library and documentation system.


• Learn and assist in all departmental functions related to CAD drafting in process engineering.



Additional Skills:


• Basic knowledge of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) is a plus.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.


• Willingness to learn and adapt to new drafting technologies and standards.


• Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.


• Familiarity with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) standards and regulations is a
