Job Title: Part-Time CAD Designer
Department: Production & Design
Reports To: Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time CAD Designer to join our clothing production team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in garment CAD software and play a critical role in executing production plans and supporting the design team. The role includes marker creation for production efficiency and developing new designs based on the design team's input while providing costing for the proposed designs.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Execution (Primary Responsibility):

• Interpret and execute the production plan provided by the production team using garment CAD software.
• Create accurate and efficient markers for cutting operations to optimize material utilization and minimize waste.
• Ensure that markers meet production specifications and align with quality standards.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot any marker-related issues.

2. Design Development and Costing (Secondary Responsibility):

• Develop new clothing designs in collaboration with the design team using CAD software.
• Create detailed patterns and digital renderings of the proposed designs.
• Calculate and provide accurate costing for the designs, including fabric consumption and additional production expenses.
• Provide innovative solutions to improve designs while keeping costs under control.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CAD Designer in the garment industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, or similar platforms).
• Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and production workflows.
• Ability to interpret production plans and translate them into efficient markers.
• Knowledge of design techniques, pattern-making, and cost analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?16,000.00 per month
