Overview:
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for providing deep expertise and insights in a specific field or industry, with a focus on commerce and taxation .
Your role will involve leveraging your knowledge to support various aspects of the organization, including customer support, training, and sales.
You will serve as a resource for internal teams and external stakeholders, offering guidance, conducting trainings, supporting sales team and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Stay updated with relevant research, publications, and advancements in the field of accounting.
• Collaborate with product teams to provide insights for the development of accounting software or tools.
• Offer guidance on accounting features, functionality, and positioning based on industry expertise.
• Review product documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting standards.
• Serve as a point of contact for complex customer inquiries or issues related to accounting.
• Provide expertise and guidance to customer support teams to resolve accounting-related issues effectively.
• Deliver training to customers
• Develop training materials, presentations, and workshops to educate internal teams on accounting principles and practices.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees across different departments regarding accounting procedures.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to team members to foster continuous learning in accounting.
• Assist sales teams in understanding and articulating the value proposition of accounting products or services to customers.
• Participate in client meetings or presentations to address specific accounting questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop collateral and content that highlights the expertise and credibility of the organization in accounting.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify accounting trends, regulatory changes, and opportunities for innovation.
• Compile and present findings to inform strategic decision-making and business planning processes related to accounting.
• Contribute to the development of white papers, case studies, and other thought leadership content in the accounting domain.
Qualifications: -
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- MBA or Professional qualification in accounting such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Company Secretary (CS) preferred.
• Experience working in the field of commerce and taxation .
• Proven track record of thought leadership and expertise in accounting principles and practices.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex accounting concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Continuous learner with a commitment to staying updated with accounting industry developments and best practices.
