Your Role and Responsibilities

As an IBM CA Architect, you would be responsible for• Be a trusted Advisor of the Customer on IBM CA. Have the ability to influence decision makers on technical feasibility.
• Guide and implement strategy to transform customer business needs into a technically viable solution.
• Create solution blueprint, estimates, gap analysis, and conceptual designs/customer demos.
• Implement solutions within defined architectural guardrails, principles and framework.
• Use industry/functional expertise to guide customers with the potential capability of CA.
• Work on CA installations/upgrade, configurations, applications etc. Provide development support, deployment support, post go-live support.
• Responsible for CA integration across systems within customer landscape.
• Be the central point of connect across various teams working on the solution.
• Be the technical SPOC for customer and guide them with your technical expertise.
• Actively involve in customer proposals and support business development activities.
• Act as a mentor to junior engineers and guide them on CA
• Actively communicate with customer, flag issues upfront.


As a Cognos Controller Architect, you will play a pivotal role in solutioning Cognos Controller system, ensuring its optimal functionality to support the company's financial reporting and consolidation processes. Your responsibilities will include:• Ability to create detailed technical documentation and user guidelines.
• Develop and maintain IBM Cognos Controller solutions.
• Configure and manage financial data and consolidation processes.
• Integrate IBM Cognos Controller with other financial systems.
• Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices, including DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for IBM Cognos Controller solutions.
• Managing and maintaining the Cognos Controller system, including system configuration, data integration, and troubleshooting.
• Developing and implementing enhancements and customizations to meet evolving business needs and improve system performance.
• Providing solution consultancy and guidance to end-users on system usage, processes, and functionalities.
• Participating in system testing, validation, and implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Participate in IBM Cognos Analytics implementation and customization projects
• Manage all aspects of Cognos Analytics work (both structured and unstructured) from business requirements to logical and physical design in an IT solution
• Translate business requirements into logical and physical CA model, analyze data across data sources to support requirements, identify integration and security requirements and support building the data architecture for the project.
• Responsible for the design and development of new Cognos Analytics applications.
• Upgrading systems to new versions and/or cloud platforms.
• Implementing functional enhancements to existing applications.
• Solid hands on Cognos Analytics development experience in Framework Manager, Data Module, Data Sets, Report Studio, Dashboarding, explorations, CA Admin, Cognos Transformer etc.
• Provide design advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development of methodologies, approaches and models
• Should have knowledge on Data warehousing concepts, ETL concepts and PL/SQL
• Can handle CA administration tasks like creating data source connections, security, performance tuning etc
• Be well versed with CA latest features (Cognos 12.x).
• Knowledge on CA fairs against its competitors.
• Monitoring system performance and conducting regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to the development of best practices, standards, and documentation for system usage and administration.
• Using your experience with group accounting, you set up and maintain your company's consolidation structures. You define and modify necessary consolidation rules, structural definitions and maintain security definitions such as access rights and period locking. You work with currency conversion, intercompany transactions, and investments in subsidiaries, as well as define configuration settings.
• You manage the technical deployment of your company's applications, review hardware and software requirements, and plan and support the overall system infrastructure. You may install, configure, and optimize the system.



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understand Cognos Analytics (relational and multidimensional) architecture.
• Perform Installation & Configuration of CA on Cloud, AWS, Linux , Windows servers
• Perform data discovery/quality analysis and architect a solution in CA based upon customer requirements using a typical Business Intelligence architecture.
• Perform or guide team to perform key architectural and development tasks for Cognos Analytics solution.
• Develop the value proposition & working with strategic partners to illuminate these solutions.
• Design Cognos analytics environment which meets both client requirements and perform efficiently/effectively.
