The Opportunity: Six Month work term: Jan,2024 - June,2024 How You Will Contribute: This role involves taking responsibility for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and analyzing modules or features within new or upgraded software systems and products. It includes executing implementations based on project plans and priorities. our engineers design and implement technologies that allow people to do great things.Packet and Optical networks continue to aggressively move towards Layer 0/1/2 converged infrastructures. Join our highly experienced team of engineers delivering: Next Generation Packet Optical Transport Solutions Next Generation Routing and Switching Solution Hybrid Layer 0/1/2 switching (OTN/Packet) Data Driven North Bound Open Interfaces - YANG/NETCONF/gRPC/REST. The flexibility to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a broader team. The Must Haves: Deep exposure to IP packet forwarding and L2/L3 switching i.e. OSPF, IS-IS, LDP, MPLS, BFD and EVPN. Deep understanding of BCM L2/L3 packet processing pipeline, traffic management & forwarding engine, with strong experience on Broadcom SDK for XGS/DNX family based devices. Excellent understanding of Ethernet, VLAN and L2 switching is required. Exposure to L2 control protocols (e.g. LLDP, LACP, CFM, Y.1731, G.8032 ERPS etc.). Strong C programming skills with strong debugging and trouble shooting skills over Linux platform. Strong experience in Port/VLAN Management, MAC learning, 802.1Q, 802.1ad, 802.1p, MEF services, Ethernet QoS such as metering, coloring, CoS mapping, scheduling, shaping, congestion avoidance, MEF 10.1/10.2, performance monitoring - meter, traffic scheduler etc. Exposure to end-to-end feature development including CLI, SNMP/Netconf, inter module/thread communication, hardware abstraction layer & BCM SDK. Knowledge of IP networking stack in Linux & IP routing. Carrier class product design and delivery experience with Access & Aggregation Switches/Routers designed for Service Provider deployments. Exposure to traffic generators such as Ixia or Spirent. Demonstrable self-initiative and \'can do\' attitude to find and implement the best solutions for customers. Effectively able to work independently with little hands-on supervision delivering to aggressive timelines. Assets: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and dedicated to meeting deadlines independently. Thrives in a collaborative team environment. Education Undergoing MCA or M. Tech. in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science or IT or similar.
