JOB TITLE - Business Unit HeadRESPONSIBLE TO - Commercial DirectorSUBORDINATES - Direct reports: Cluster/.Sales Managers, MM, GPM, PM, BU AssistantFrame and drive execution of a profitable BU strategy within the assigned geography with the objective of achieving the organization goalsMain Purpose of the Job:To operate both strategically and tactically on behalf of the Company and their defined products,through the management, motivation, and development of the section\xe2\x80\x99s subordinate personnel.To ensure the research, preparation, and implementation of relevant strategic (marketing) and execution(sales) plans for designated products of the Business Unit to achieve of company sales targetsPrincipal responsibilitiesFrame, communicate and execute a profitable BU strategy (Sales and marketing) and P&L strategy for the particular BU using the available resources to achieve the short term and long term business objectives

  • Define BU strategy to accelerate growth and pursue profitable growth given India Business priorities
  • Finalize targets for the year
  • Manage P&L for the business unit
  • Forecast and provide recommendations on the therapy areas/geographies/products to invest in.
  • Set standards and Processes for Marketing and Sales
  • Drive adherence to financial/ regulatory and legal/Compliance norms within the team
  • Review expenses on a regular basis and identify areas for improvement/ reduction in costs
  • Identify resource optimization opportunities
Key Accountabilities (2/6)Lead the BU by leveraging P&L in terms of resources and expenses in order to achieve the top-line and bottom-line targets
  • FACILITATE PREPARATION OF BUSINESS PLANS
To participate actively in annual positioning and orientation meetings run by Head Office Paris, India, conferences and other meetings as appropriate.To help prepare the following key business planning documents to the required standard within the timescales given
  • Orientation Plan
  • 1 year action and 3-year strategic plan
  • Completion of these documents will require an up to date working knowledge and evaluation of:
  • The environment at all levels
  • Disease area, product, and competitor information
Marketing research information purchased by the Company from IQUIA- Market place feedback as arranged through the Sales Department, and your team and including your own feedback. * FACILITATE PREPARATION OF MARKETING CAMPAIGNS
  • On approval of the Action Plan, the Marketing Campaign for each cycle is to be prepared to meet the agreed deadline, with emphasis on the quality of the documents prepared.
Each cycle\'s Campaign will include elements from some or all of the following categories:-
  • Visual Aids
  • Leave Pieces
  • Information / Branding Cards
  • Mailings
  • Press
  • Meetings
  • Product PR
  • Sales force access items
  • Each of these elements is to be realised in line with the company philosophy and budgetary provision agreed in the Action Plan.
  • To ensure constant budget monitoring and to prepare and submit re-estimates as required.
