Job Description


Below are the primary responsibilities for this role:To ensure local statutory and tax compliance for the legal entities including but not limited to Statutory Audits, tax and local compliances, Balance sheet and Profit loss GL Reconciliations, Internal controls.Ensure to follow timely month end close process in line with LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s global reporting timetable, reviewing and making sure critical GL accounts are reconciled to underlying documentation, transactions are accounted accurately in line with LSEG accounting policies and local accounting policies.Work with various business partners to ensure legal entities are accurately, completely and timely accounted for in the enterprise systems, as well as to ensure good controls and underlying processes are in place.Analysis of all Balance Sheet and profit loss accounts on periodic basis.Liaise with auditors on Statutory & SOX audits.Analysis of Quarter on quarter or year on year variances and presenting meaningful observations.In conjunction with the Tax Department completion of tax packs, booking of tax provisions and monitoring tax accounts movements. Keep a vigil eye from accounting point of view.In conjunction with the Transfer Pricing Department review the quarterly calculation for Group books and also perform the true up Calculation for local books.Provide support as appropriate in tax audits and transfer pricing as agreed with the Tax Department.Help other junior team members by helping them with process understanding, technical knowhow.CAREER PATH: [WHAT NEXT?]Career Options would be available both Vertical and Horizontal. The Job Holder could either move horizontally or take on more Complex Accounting related to a different country or group of countries or move Vertical to become an Area Controller and handle a region with staff management responsibilities.There would be multifaceted career options available in also Finance teams and other General Accounting Process teams as wellCUSTOMERS:INTERNAL:ControllershipGeneral AccountingTaxFinanceEXTERNAL:Outsourced ProvidersLocal Statutory AuditorsGroup Statutory AuditorsSox Compliance AuditorsTax and other compliance authoritiesEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:Accounting Graduates having core prior experience in the specific areas as mentioned belowOVERALL YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:Graduates - 3 to 5 years of experience in Finance and accounting function.Strong accounting background as well as a good understanding of IFRS.Experience of having participated in Audits of Large to Medium Scale organizations preferable.Understanding of tax & statutory compliance requirements.Efficient work ethics with proven track record and ability to meet deadlines.Clear and effective communication & interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently & deliver under pressure.Adaptability, flexibility, and responsiveness, Technology savvy.Fluent English and speaking / writing.LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
