Reporting to the Financial Manager, the Accountant ensures the accuracy of accounting data and assists in financial analysis and planning.Key Responsibilities:Manage financial and managerial accounting activities:

  • Supervise and monitor accounting books for multiple company offices in different countries.
  • Ensure accurate recording of revenue and cost data.
  • Monitor payables and follow up on receivables with internal parties.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and analyze variances.
  • Manage monthly accounting procedures, including salary payments and bank account reconciliation.
Perform financial analysis and reporting:
  • Conduct financial analysis and generate periodic reports as requested by management.
Supervise accountants team:
  • Provide supervision and guidance to the accountants team in their daily tasks.
Monitor cash flow:
  • Ensure a healthy cash position by monitoring cash flow.
Ensure accurate quarterly and year-end closing:
  • Supervise year-end procedures and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Perform book closing at year-end after completion of annual audit.
Maintain records and comply with legal requirements:
  • Maintain records to meet legal and tax requirements.
  • Coordinate with tax agencies to ensure up-to-date tax positions.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation records. Assist in financial strategy and planning:
  • Support the Financial Manager in developing financial strategies and plans.
  • Assist in developing financial policies and procedures.
Improve department workflow:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the finance department's workflow.
Accounts team management and development:
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Establish goals and objectives for each team member and monitor progress for professional development.
Perform related tasks as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of financial practices and management.
  • Proficient in accounting software (experience with Peachtree is a plus) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in accounting with IT or Internet companies is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proactive, energetic, and strong organizational and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees.
Education, Training, and Experience:
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • 3 to 5 years of financial accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a lead position.
  • Proficiency in accounting cycle procedures, reporting, cash flow management, forecasting, and auditing procedures.
Key Performance Indicators:Successful implementation and maintenance of accounting records and reporting. Achievement of annual goals for the organization, particularly within the Finance Division.
