About the Role
As a Business Rules Expert in our Finance Systems, Data and Innovation you'll play a key role in helping in the design, build, test and support applications and/or underlying infrastructure. This role manages the tribe backlog, working closely with others to prioritise work, manage interdependencies and distil features to epics. TPLs define what success looks like for the tribe and then measure their progress against that. In some cases, this role will also manage a chapter of Product Owners

What will your day look like?
You will design, build, test and support applications and/or underlying infrastructure. You will work closely with squad members to ensure outcomes meet customer expectations, and build capability in your squad. You will bring knowledge or deep expertise on a specific topic supporting FSDI capabilities in Data, BI and/or Automation.
A key element of this role is driving the engineering agenda, ensuring delivery of best practice end-to-end engineering respecting ANZ architecture standards. You will challenge inefficient engineering/solution development practice in ANZ and influence change in your field to drive better business outcomes.
In the role you will implement smart and relevant engineering/solution development to drive E2E application delivery and support while linking in to the wider FSDI roadmap supporting data, analytics and automation.
As a Business Rules Expert, you will:
Optimise data flows by building robust, fault-tolerant data pipeline that cleans, transforms, and aggregates data into databases or data sources
Data management (data mapping, modelling)
Experience/exposure with several data processing platforms:
Prudential Regulatory experience (mandatory)
Teradata Development (mandatory & proficient)
Finance system experience (preferred)
Exposure to Python (preferred)
Oracle (preferred)
SSIS (preferred)
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience with Agile ways of working at scale
Innovation and problem solving skills
A culture of contribution to deliver solutions that maximise utility, reuse and scalability and align with others
Hands-on knowledge and experience in the use of Jira, Confluence and Git
Hands-on knowledge and experience on ETL, automated data pipeline and productionisation (advantageous)
Experience in testing (management and execution)
Hands-on knowledge and proficiency in using tools to manage projects effectively - whether Git/GitHub, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint or something else!
