IKEA Services India is one of the Purchasing & Logistics areas for IKEA, which represent South Asia Region comprising of India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh (Purchasing & Logistics Area South Asia- PLASA). PLASA has a rich history of sourcing from the South Asia region for more than four decades. Over these years, we have brought in many processes and best practices that have improved the way we work with our business partners. Transformation of textile, carpet industry and recycle plastic industry are a few such examples. This partnership with suppliers has helped to continuously grow our sourcing operations. Purpose of the function :

  • Business Navigation Finance and Administration function is a strategic partner who navigates the business towards success, by using our expertise to enable efficient and effective processes, connecting strategies with execution, secure the IKEA business and protect its assets.
  • Business partnering Navigate our business towards success through people and performance by spotting business opportunities, generate actionable insights and connect strategies with planning and execution.
  • Lead with expertise Provide strategic support, advice, and execution in areas like business navigation, finance, legal and risk. Lead portfolio management, project management and enable better Supply business.
  • Excellence in operations Develop and operate efficient, effective, and controlled workflows, supported by new technologies and competent co-workers organized for success.
  • Governance & Safeguarding Establish and operate efficient governance, frameworks, structures and connected assurance activities for the purpose of looking after the IKEA business and protect its assets

Job description
(a). For the Purchasing & Logistics Area (PLA):
1. Lead the PLA PEP process (Purchasing & Logistics Areas Planning & Execution Process (PLA PEP) is a framework used in PLA Business Unit for planning, organizing, and delivering the work. The PEP is transcribing the IKEA forever parts and Strategies into priorities, projects, and actions for all co-workers in the PLA function. This is setting our direction and connecting us with the high-level priorities in IKEA. Performing and efficiently driving the agenda and to create a balanced portfolio ensuring movements towards defined direction and goals, constant evaluating of the portfolio to ensure portfolio gives high returns at low risks. Actively navigate portfolio, identifying gaps and advice for optimization & prioritization to decision makers and stakeholders. 2. As an active member of Purchasing & Logistics Area management team enable PLA Performance culture, PLA KPI results follow up and insights. Enable business development for New business, market intelligence and industry analysis, navigate efficiency and involve all relevant stakeholders. 3. Lead and develop competence and high performing teams by developing talents and secure succession planning within the area of Business Navigation Finance and Administration. (b) For all Business Units in the Purchasing & Logistics Area: 1. Secure implementation of governance and compliance to laws and standards as well as Inter IKEA internal rules and guidelines for the operations of the legal entities. * Share good practices and ensure consistency cross Inter IKEA business units. 2. Secure competence and capabilities in the BNFA team for external financial reporting, related tax filings, regulatory registrations and cash management for the legal entities. Be the prime country/local contact towards banks and other financial institutions. 3. Co-create and facilitate Supply Financial planning and reporting processes, tools and solutions, secure PLA Financial performance, and results, support all Business units and stakeholders in place. 4. Facilitate and support cash flow planning, efficient funding, and sourcing of financial services in accordance with Inter IKEA Group Rules, to minimize liquidity risks. Together with the relevant stakeholders analyze and evaluate benefits, costs and investments, describe business cases and secure follow up and learning. 5. Secure implementation and execution of Risk management Year Cycle activities according to Risk Management & Compliance Agenda as well as local laws and regulations to prevent and mitigate the identified risks and enable business development. 6. Implement crisis management process, documentation and related activities. 7. Enable efficient and modern workplace by providing efficient administrative support to all business units and employees with IT, Travel service, car service, reception etc. 8. At any time, act as an ambassador of Inter IKEA values and Role Model for Fact-based Business leadership and contribute to the global BNFA agenda and projects.
Qualification

  • University degree in Business Administration Finance/Economics or related field (higher education).
  • Experience in finance-related field (preferred 5+ years including leading teams). Strong accounting, reporting, tax and treasury knowledge and understanding of companies\' operations.
  • Understanding of respective Inter IKEA business processes, Purchasing & Logistics Year Cycle and Governance Structure.
  • Strong leadership, managerial, tactical and operational skills.
  • A proven track record of sound decision-making and taking ownership.
  • Deep knowledge of market specific conditions and macro-economic trends.
  • Deep knowledge of related policies from Inter IKEA policy house and Supply Manual.
