The primary objective of the Business Manager (BM) role is to attain or exceed sales objectives by maximizing the effectiveness and productivity of the teams.
Organize Area meeting, periodic Sales meeting, and conventions.
Company, Industry & Product Knowledge:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of all company?s marketed products, disease, competitor products, promotional strategies, and objectives.
Market Analysis:
Validate quality customer list, current profile of assigned key accounts, key influencers & clinical thought leaders.
Develops institution sales.
Serve as a resource for market intelligence.
Building Relations:
Establish strong awareness of company?s products with Key influencers and Clinical thought leaders.
Deliver local symposia/ CMEs that meet the educational needs of customers.
Develop and maintain strong relationship with customers, administrators, and pharmacy personnel to positively position company & its products in the preferred drug listing.
Attend & participate in regional scientific congresses.
Distribution & Resource Allocation:
Maintains strong distribution setup in the area.
Manage area promotional budget.
Use/Adherence to Internal tolls & Processes/ Administration Values:
Interpret various analyses like sales, call average, coverage.
Ensure completion of Sales & administrative reports to Sales manager.
Adhere and demonstrate leader behaviour.
Coaching /Training:
Induct new TM / LTM/ STMs to the field.
Identify knowledge and skill development needs of TM / LTM/ STMs.
Develop/ coach TM / LTM/ STMs in consonance with the coaching skills program focusing primarily on joint customer visits/ field time, but also including office-based training, development meetings.
Coordinate with field trainers to ensure development needs are fulfilled.
Career & People Performance:
Provides personalized development attention on all areas of performance and activity (i.e., territory analysis, selling skills) to ensure productivity.
Ensures adherence to PMP process/ guidelines for subordinates.
People Management:
Uses a variety of channels to identify prospective TM/LTM/STMs already on the field.
