The successful candidate will be responsible for operationally leading the Business Intelligence Team on a day to day basis; including the line management of Business Intelligence Analysts and working in close partnership with the Data Architecture Team Manager, to ensure solutions are built using governed, sustainable processes.

They will be required to work at pace, leading development using agile working methodologies that enables an iterative approach to delivery. Through their use of agile working methodologies, the role will ensure the account has a governed pipeline and backlog of work; ensuring all new initiatives are fully prioritised based on the priorities of the account and the client.

Whilst a strong technical knowledge is essential it is equally important the candidate can inspire and lead a small team of Business Intelligence Analysts. They will be required to support the Business Intelligence Analysts to grow in terms of skills and expertise and to foster a culture of collaboration and shared learning.

The ability to work with business stakeholders at a senior level and understand requirements that can be transitioned into viable and governed analytical solutions is critical. The role will be leading complex conversations with business stakeholders; challenging needs and coaching the business to articulate their needs as opposed to stipulating solutions.

The candidate will support the account's vision that;



data is Governed:

• Ensuring Business Intelligence Analysts work to common processes that result in documented, governed solutions that can be efficiently maintained only implemented.
• Defining requirements and scope with the business and acting as an internal consultant on the account to translate governed business processes into consistent, standardised business logic, applied to analytical products.
• Being the individual accountable for the daily prioritisation of work amongst the Business Intelligence Analysts, ensuring bug/support requests are understood and fully reviewed prior to fixes/changes being implemented.
• Maintaining a close working relationship with the Data Architecture Team to ensure analytical requirements are translated into sustainable, governed data models and published presentation data sources.

• Working with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure solutions are simple to engage with and deliver insights in the shortest possible time.
• Co-ordinating targeted action plans with the BI Business Partnering Director to maximise engagement with data and adoption of solutions.
• Translating complex business processes into documented business logic and rules that accurately reflect the account contract with the client. Ensuring such logic and rules are not embedded in products but rather are easily available for stakeholders to review and understand.
• Ensuring transparency when developing analytical products so that business stakeholders are an embedded part of the development cycle and are able to influence design choices throughout the process.


processes are operationally efficient:

• Working in partnership with the Global Corporate Solutions BI and Performance Team to leverage consistent practices, ensuring account content can be shared and leveraged across Corporate Solutions when commercially appropriate.
• Leading the adoption of agile working methodologies within the Business Intelligence Team, acting as the lead for agile steps including team daily huddles, team visualisation reviews and quality assurance and customer acceptable testing.
• Supporting the robust prioritisation of initiatives daily, balancing the resourcing requirements of new initiatives with change requests and support tickets. This prioritisation process will involve working with senior business owners to define requirements, assess prioritisation scoring and presenting to account leaders to ensure the work of the Business Intelligence Team is meeting the strategic priorities of the account and client.


Innovative Analytical Techniques are enabled:

• Acting as subject matter expert when it comes to data and analytics, to explore new, innovative techniques; strategically identifying opportunities and defining an energised analytical roadmap that inspires account and client leadership teams.
• Leading the case for change; defining business requirements to identified challenges and assessing how these challenges can be met in ways that have not previously been considered on the account.
• Owning prototyping to ensure the account can assess the viability of new analytical techniques and managing the transition from proof of concept to governed, sustainable solutions once a technique has been assessed as offering sufficient return on investment.


The outcome should be a scalable, measurable and enduring approach to analytical solutions which drives data driven decision making which should be modular and scalable to other JLL accounts.



Day to day

Lead product development and implementation of standard development process.

Translate requirements into effective business solutions.

Ensure dashboards are built in line with published internal data visualisation standards.

Ensure dashboards are built using efficient and effective design techniques.

Ensure dashboards meet the needs of the business; challenging the why, what and how elements of requests.

Responsible for strategic direction of the account's portfolio of dashboards and analytical solutions.

Managing the pipeline of work; ensuring it is allocated to the most effective resource across the BIT Team.

Leading the Beta testing process of initiatives

Ensuring iterative design processes are followed, providing regular feedback and engagement to the business.

Owning the technical requirements of initiatives

Day to day operational Business Intelligence workloads and line management of Business Information Analysts

Providing personal development and coaching to analysts.

Lead problem solving teams to develop recommendations based on data interpretation and analysis to transform behaviours and techniques.

Promote success powerfully, such that our client recognizes the value of your work.

Provide subject matter expertise for all data related processes and analyses.



Desirable Knowledge & Capabilities

A BI expert with knowledge of data visualisation and analytical techniques.

Bring global experience and best practice to bust silos and ensure effective utilization of data.

Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to explain them to others.

Strategic Thinking - Ability to think broadly, create a shared vision, and embrace change as an opportunity.

Client Management - Understanding client needs and setting and managing appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints all while providing exceptional and customer service, creating trust and transparency which enables integration

Team-building -Key stakeholder and collaborators are geographically dispersed. Getting results from ad hoc groups of disparate people is critical.

Proven team leadership success and ability to manage through influence.

Experience of agile methodology

Skills and Experience

Bachelor or master degree - BI, computer science, econometrics, operations research or statistics preferred, or equivalent working experience

Minimum 3 years past work experience as a BI, business or data analyst required

Fluent English

Ability to inspire individuals direct reports.

Ability to work with colleagues across the Business Intelligence and Technology Team, including those not directly working in a Business Intelligence field (i.e. Technology, Systems, PMO).
